Message from organisers of Music at Pitstone:

Hello Jane
A huge thank you to Ukie Toons for coming along yesterday and performing so wonderfully for us. You were perfect for the occasion, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed your performance. You are obviously very busy, and you are doing wonderful work for charity, but I hope very much that we'll be able to approach you again in the future! It would be fantastic to have you play for us again.
Very best wishes to all concerned.
Judith

Just received this from Appledown Dog Rescue

Hi Colin, just to let you know Appledown are trying to get a message of thanks to band. Here's one comment:
Wonderful day and a fantastic amount. A huge well done to everyone involved. On a personal note I absolutely loved the band, they kept our stall happy and jolly all day, I never had chance to donate. I’m sure I’m not alone. If anyone could tag them I’d appreciate it xxx

Lovely message & photos from the organisers of the May Fair in Houghton Regis

Dear Jane

I am writing to thank the members of the Ukie Toones for performing at the Houghton Regis May Fair on Saturday and I take great pleasure in attaching some photographs, which were taken by Joanna Cross @ Joanna Cross Photography.

The Events Working Group was delighted that the band could take part in the day and it was lovely to see people joining in with the songs (and dancing too). It was such a shame that the weather wasn’t warmer, but we hope that the band enjoyed playing regardless of it being a bit cold!

Please do pass on our sincere thanks to all the members of the band and I very much hope to work with you on a future event
Best wishes

Sarah

Boxmoor Garden Party, Raising money for the Lochabor Mountain Rescue Team

Good morning all
Received the following email from Julia today about the recent gig at Boxmoor. Frank will be posting the final amount raised once Julia has the final total. Jane.

Dear Jane,
Please pass on to all in Ukie Toones that they were absolutely fantastic at IanFest on Saturday.

Great performance. Great fun and they created joy, smiles and good times at the event.

It was a superb day and please know that the performance was deeply appreciated by myself, my sons , friends, family , and listening ears of the neighbours .

I have had such positive feedback about Ukie Toones and one audience member is keen to get in touch with you for a future fundraiser.

We are still counting the money (a few more trickles coming in), but at present, Saturdays event raised just over £1,000. This is fab news as I rely on donations and don`t set a ticket price.

I will be putting a write up together soonish for the local papers, and the local papers in the Lochaber region of Scotland (the funds raised will be sent to Lochaber Mountain Rescue in the near future.) I will of course mention Ukie-Toones musical magic in the proposed newspaper article.

I will let you know when it is published. I will also let you know a final figure.

Thanks again and please know that what you do is heartwarming and it has made a difference to us . Keep on doing what you do - its wonderful!

Regards
Julia

From Willen Hospice

Hello,

I would just like to say thank you on behalf of the events team at Willen Hospice for coming to our Summer Fair on Saturday. We really hope you all enjoyed yourselves? It certainly looked like you did.

I’m very pleased to be able to tell you that across the two days you helped us raise just over £22,000 for the Hospice, which is the highest amount to date for these events.

Kind Regards,

Megan, Sarah, Tracey and Gemma

Hi all, received the following from Applegrove Residential Home

 Great comments  😊

Dear Jane ,every one really enjoyed last night and they certainly want to have the band back again later in the year if it is possible. I have been booking bands for the last ten years but yours beat them all and the money goes to charity, fantastic. To see the tenants dancing and even some of the band joining in made the evening go with a swing and it was a joy to see.

Lots of love to all at Ukie Toons from all at Applegrove.

Best Regards  Brian

FROM 'LUTON TODAY'

A trio from Ukie TooNes not only entertained guests with some lively music at the annual Motor Neurone Disease Association barbecue, but also presented the charity with a cheque for £1,550. They are part of a 40-strong group that splits the proceeds from most of its gigs between MND and Yawn 16, a Houghton Regis club for young adults with learning disabilities. They are also happy to play for any charity which approaches them. Chair of MND’s Luton & South Bedfordshire branch Ann Murphy said: “We’re so grateful to Ukie Toones for their support. It means a great deal to people living with MND and their families - and it means we can buy equipment like chair lifts for them. “And the group always livens up any of our gathering with their terrific singalongs.” Ukie TooNes founder Colin Creasey said: “We love what we do and it’s very rewarding and humbling to see what a difference the money makes to the charities we support.”

Lovely compliments for our performance on Sunday for St Francis Hospice :

Dear Ukie TooNes,

YOU ARE ALL INCREDIBLE – THANK YOU!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for being a part of our 20th Anniversary Garden Party at Ashridge House on Sunday! It was another glorious day and a hugely popular event for the whole family to enjoy. Our Finance team and cashier volunteers are still counting the floats, donations and proceeds for the day but we are confident in saying we reached £40K which is just AMAZING!

I really cannot thank you enough for your wonderful performance. It was obvious to see how much everyone enjoyed it.

Once again thank you so much for supporting The Hospice of St Francis – we simply couldn’t put these events together without you. Your valued support helps us to expand our essential services both at the Hospice and throughout our shared community.

With best wishes,

Lucy
